Alex Borstein
Comedian, Actress, Writer, Producer, Family Guy
Perhaps best known as the voice of "Lois" on Family Guy, Alex Borstein has been a studio and network favorite since her days on Mad TV, where she was known for her memorable characters, including "Miss Swan" and her impressions of celebrities including Roseanne Barr and Vivian Vance.
While working on MADtv, Borstein met Seth MacFarlane, who was then preparing to launch the animated sitcom Family Guy on FOX. MacFarlane cast Borstein as the voice of key character Lois Griffin. In addition to voicing nearly a dozen other roles, she is also a staff writer and producer for the show.Read More
Alex has also been a writer and voice actor for several television series, such as Casper, Pinky and the Brain and Power Rangers – Zeo. As an actress, she has appeared in major feature films, such as The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Catwoman, Dinner for Schmucks and Ted.
Borstein is currently a consulting producer on the staff of the Showtime series, Shameless. She has also made a deal with 20th Century Fox television to develop, write and executive produce two pilots, one animated and one live action comedy.
